On Friday morning, there was fierce exchange of fire between police and Naxalites in Kuchai forest of Seraikela district. Two Naxalites have been killed in this. Police have recovered a huge quantity of weapons including AK 47 and AK 56 from the spot. The Naxalites are yet to be identified.

Two Maoists killed
Two Maoists were killed in an encounter with security forces in Seraikela-Kharsawan on Friday. Police gave this information. The Maoists were killed during a joint operation by Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) Cobras, Jharkhand Jaguars and state police, he said.
"Two CPI (Maoist) members were killed during an operation in Baruda forest of Kuchai police station area," Deputy Inspector General of Kolhan division Ajay Linda told.
Arms recovered
The force has recovered the bodies and arms and ammunition were also recovered from them, he said. He said the encounter between the security forces and the Maoists was going on till the last information was received.
