Misconduction in the first 8 lane road of Jharkhand, loss of crores of rupees

Both the agencies, which are building the eight-lane road, will now have to lay a new distribution pipeline. Its length will be about 12 km. The total expenditure will be Rs 10 crore.

The DPR (Detailed Project Report) of the first eight-lane road of Jharkhand went wrong. Due to the wing Drinking Water Supply (DWS) of PHED and the engineer of the Municipal Corporation, the wrong DPR of the eight lane road was made. As a result, now the budget of eight lane road is being increased by 10 crores. The budget for shifting the distribution pipeline was not included in the DPR prepared four years ago. The construction of the road is going on at a cost of 400 crores.


The work of shifting the distribution pipeline in the eight-lane road being built from Gol Building in Dhanbad to Kako Mor in Katras was not included in the plan. When the excavation was started for road construction, another pipeline was found near the Rising pipeline. The working agency widened the road by removing the old line, but now Rs 10 crore is being spent in laying it anew. Saj (State Highway Authority of Jharkhand), the government's agency which is constructing the eight-lane road, has proposed to increase the budget by 10 crores by writing a letter to the state government.Both the agencies, which are building the eight-lane road, will now have to lay a new distribution pipeline. Its length will be about 12 km. The pipeline is to be laid from Memco Mor to Gol Building and from Binod Bihari Chowk to Bhuli.
