No line for baggage check at Ranchi Airport, Waiting for DGCA approval

Now passengers will not have to queue for baggage check at Ranchi airport. Modern X-ray machine inline baggage handling system is ready. It will be made operational after approval from DGCA.


Modern X-ray machine inline baggage handling system has been ready for baggage at Birsa Munda Airport in Ranchi. It has been installed in the security zone in the terminal. It will be made operational after getting the approval of the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA). At present, the airport management is looking forward to getting permission and investigation from DGCA.

It is expected that by the end of October, this modern goods testing machine will be made operational. Apart from this, the use of solar system has been started in the airport. Under which 2500 units of electricity is being generated per month and Rs 1.6 lakh is being saved per month.

At present, a long queue can be seen to check the goods

Currently, flight passengers have to queue up to check luggage. Before the journey, the passengers had to get the screening done. After that they used to go to the counter with the goods. Once the new system is operational, the passengers will directly go to the check-in counter and hand over the goods there. From where their luggage will go directly to the planes.
