Karma festival is celebrated in a unique way in Hazaribagh

There is a festive atmosphere everywhere regarding Karma Puja. At the same time, in the Barkagaon block of Hazaribagh district, the festival of Karma is celebrated in a unique way. Here the ghost filling is done by Gawant and Bhaktain before immersing Teej's dala. Then the cast of Karma is established. For seven days, the branches of Karam are awakened in the morning and evening. A day before Karma Puja, on the day of Sanjot, the village's Pahan Deval Bhuyan goes to the cave of Mahodi mountain, filling the ghosts from the Devi Mandap at 2 o'clock in the night. From there, Seg brings Kadam flowers. The Goddess offers flowers to the temple and all the temples of the village. Then the flower is transported to the akhadas of all Karma. In many villages and localities of Barkagaon, ghost filling is done by the devotees who set up Devas. Then there is Karma Puja.

There will be no entry of heavy vehicles in the capital Ranchi for Karam festival from 7 pm to 8 am on Wednesday. Due to which people will be able to come to these places only by vehicle. These are Kathal Mod, Tilta Chowk, Law University, Tupudana Chowk, Shaheed Maidan, Evergreen Chowk, Birsa Chowk, Durga Soren Chowk, Booty Mod, Bodeya, Khelgaon Chowk.

All major heavy goods vehicles going to Hazaribagh Road via Piska turn will move from Tilta Chowk to Hazaribagh Road via Ring Road (Law University).

  • Heavy goods vehicles going from Hazaribagh Road to Latehar, Palamu, Garhwa, Itki Road, Simdega, Gumla, Lohardaga Road, Piska Mod will be able to pass through Ring Road (Law University) Tilta Chowk.

Worship will be done according to sacrificial system

  • Pahan will pray and worship Karam Dev. After the completion of the puja, the story of Karam will be narrated.

  • Then on the second day, Karam Dev will be uprooted by law and he will be made to visit all the houses of the village.

Akhara decorated to welcome Karam Gosain

In the capital Ranchi, the people of all Mauja have completed the work of cleaning and decoration of the arena regarding the Karam festival. Karam Gosain will be established in Akhara this evening. Jaglal Pahan of Hatma Mauja told that the youth would go out on the evening of September 6 to bring Karam Dev. After worshiping there according to the law, Karam will bring Dev to the arena. Before reaching the Akhara, the branch of Karam will be handed over to the girls of Karmait or fasting. After this, wearing clothes and other people in the arena, pouring water thrice in the akhada, will circumambulate Karam Dev.
