15-year-old Suraj Kumar, a resident of Ratanpur village of Jasidih police station area of Deoghar district, has been murdered with a sharp-edged weapon. Suraj, the only child of his parents, had gone out for a walk on Wednesday evening and had not returned home since then. When he did not return home, his family started searching for him but Suraj was nowhere to be found.
This morning it was learned from the passers-by that the body of a child was lying near a pond near Pahad Kothi of Jasidih. He was identified as Suraj. He has deep bruises on his abdomen and back. After this incident, Chandan Kumar, the mother and father of the deceased, is in a bad condition.
As soon as the information was received, the police reached the spot and took the dead body in its possession and sent it to the District Sadar Hospital for post-mortem. Police has gathered in the investigation of the incident.
