In one of these cases, after appeal, the sentence was restored by the court of the Principal District and Sessions Judge, while in the remaining two cases, the Sessions Court acquitted the MLA. All three cases were related to obstructing government work and engaging with the police.

The case in which the sentence was restored on Wednesday was registered on May 12, 2013 at Katras police station on the written application of Ramnarayan Choudhary, the then station in-charge of Barora police station. It was alleged that Barora police had reached Katras at his house to apprehend Warranty Rajesh Gupta in a case. Meanwhile, Baghmara MLA Dhulu along with his other supporters arrived and police surrounded the party.

There was abusing, pushing and thrashing the policemen. Warranty Rajesh Gupta was rescued from police custody and tore the police uniform. In this case, the appeal of five people, including BJP MLA Dhulu, was dismissed on Wednesday by the Special Court for MP-MLA Judge Akhilesh Kumar. After this decision, Dhulu's going to jail is believed to be fixed.

Will not be able to challenge the decision without surrender

According to the lawmaker, without the surrender certificate, the MLA or other accused will not be able to challenge the decision of the Sessions Court in the High Court. That is, Dhulu Mahto will have to surrender before going to the High Court. Will challenge the decision in the High Court Dhulu Mahto's lawyer Savita Kumar told that they will challenge the order of the court in the High Court. They have 90 days to file revision in the High Court.After the conviction in the lower court, the accused were acquitted on appeal bail, but before challenging in the High Court, all the convicts will have to go to jail.

Punishment was done earlier in these cases

On July 12, 2018, eight people including Dhulu were sentenced to one year. It was alleged that in 2006, after the death of pro-lawyer Mahato in a road accident, the accused led by the MLA created a ruckus. Obstructed government work and scuffled with the then BDO. In this case, the sessions court had granted relief to Dhulu by allowing the appeal on September 1, 2018.
Dhulu was sentenced to one year in prison by the lower court on January 20, 2016. On 26 December 2006, Excise Inspector Ramlila Rawani had caught a case of illegally selling foreign liquor in Barora police station area of ​​Baghmara. The MLA had freed the accused from custody. On 16 February-2016, the Sessions Court also upheld the lower court's decision.
Dhulu Mahto was sentenced to one year in prison by First Class Judicial Magistrate Mo Umar on February 25-2016. On 18 October 2005, the body of a person named Bihari Yadav was found near Mahuda bridge. It was alleged that the police was taking the body for post-mortem. Meanwhile, Dhulu Mahto reached there with his supporter and attacked the police jeep.
