A case has been registered against the unknown killers at Khunti police station by Bal Kishun Mahato, the son of the deceased. He has told the police that he had planted vegetables in the fields to eat from his family members.
60-year-old Kalavati Devi of Belahathi village under Khunti Sadar police station area was murdered by unknown criminals. After which a couple named Nathiya from the dead body, a silver chain from the neck, a gold karanj full of gold from the ear were taken away by the killers. The old woman was murdered with a knife.

In this regard, a case has been registered against the unknown killers at Khunti police station by Bal Kishun Mahato, son of the deceased. He has told the police that he had planted vegetables in the fields to eat from his family members. When the harvest was over, then his mother Kalavati Devi had gone to sell some vegetables in the market of pegs. But when she did not reach home at quarter to seven in the evening, the family members started searching.
