NCP MLA flays Govt for ‘failure’ in development

Nationalist Congress Party's State Chief cum Hussainabad MLA, Kamlesh Singh held a press conference at the Ranchi Press Club on Saturday and attacked the State Government for its failure in providing basic facilities and development to the people of his constituency. He also warned that his party provided unconditional support to the Government but if the Government will not take immediate steps to improve the condition then the party will force consideration of its decision.

Singh said that there is darkness in the village, farmers are disheartened, there is famine in the State, in such a situation how will the development of the State happen? He said in a stern tone that the condition of many blocks of our assembly constituency is bad. “BDO adopts a dictatorial attitude. If BDO is posted in the same block for four-five years, then what will he do? Only they are sent to loot. The voices were also raised on this subject in the assembly, but no hearing was held. Kamlesh said that the Chief Minister should review it,” he added.

The MLA said that on March 7, 2021, NCP National Chief, Sharad Pawar had come to Ranchi. “During this, he met the Chief Minister and demanded to make Hussainabad a district. This matter was brought to the notice of the Government two-three times, but till date Hussainabad has not been declared a district,” he added.

Keeping in view the fact, Singh said that there are 21 blocks in present Palamu district which is the largest district according to the block of Jharkhand state. He said that Palamu district is also included in the 122 aspirational districts declared by NITI Aayog and it can be easily imagined what the socio-economic condition here is. He said that we currently have 9 blocks and two sub-divisions to make Hussainabad a district. “That's when the demand for the district is being raised. Whereas out of 24 districts of Jharkhand, 4 districts are of 6 blocks and one district is of 7 blocks. There are many such districts where there is only one sub-division,” he added.

Singh said that 90 per cent development work is stalled due to lack of sand. They have also raised their voice in the assembly regarding the issue of sand, but the result is cipher. He said that the data of what the mining department does is being scrutinized by the ED.

On the other hand, NCP's State Spokesperson, Surya Singh Sonal said that when the Hemant Government was supported by our party, there was a demand to make Hussainabad a district at the same time but till date the present Government has not taken any concrete decision on this subject. He said that if our demand is not accepted, then we will take the stand of agitation.
